SMHS Sailing Team- Fleet Race Nationals Qualified!

Congratulations to the SMHS Sailing Team who have qualified for both the High School Team Race (Baker) and Fleet Race (Mallory) National Championships! This is only the second time in history that a Santa Barbara High School Team has qualified for both Spring nationals!

SMHS raced hard at the PCISA Fleet Race Pacific Coast Championship in Long Beach. The sailors had a stellar performance on day one finishing up the day in the lead! Day two brought lighter and shifty conditions and a battle ensued for the top three spots. At the end of the weekend, SMHS finished up third overall and solidified their place on the starting line of the Mallory Trophy.

We look forward to representing SBYSF, SMHS, and SBYC at the Mallory Trophy on Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans on May 30-31.
